Quality Clauses

SDQC 1

Supplier shall provide the processes, products and services defined in the PO, drawings, specifications, or referenced documents. Supplier is responsible for ensuring that supplied products conform to the lates revision of drawings, specifications, and standards unless otherwise specified.

SDQC 2

Special processes (e.g. Welding, Plating, Heat Treatment, NDT) must be performed by suppliers approved by Spectrum Displays, the customer, or regulatory bodies (e.g., NADCAP, FAA, EASA). Supplier must obtain written approval before using alternate processes, materials, or equipment.

SDQC 3

Supplier shall ensure that all personnel performing work affecting quality are competent, trained, and qualified. Qualification records shall be maintained and made available upon request.

SDQC 4

All formal communication shall be directed through Spectrum Displays’ Purchasing/Quality department.

SDQC 5

Certificates of Conformance (CoC) shall be submitted with each shipment; electronically and included in each shipment.

SDQC 6

Test reports (e.g., material, chemical, physical) and certifications shall be submitted with each shipment; electronically and included in each shipment where applicable.

SDQC 7

Identification and protective packaging for shipment is required.

SDQC 8

For materials with a shelf-life, supplier shall ensure that the remaining shelf-life is a minimum of 1 year. If shelf-life is less than a year, the supplier shall obtain Spectrum Display’s approval in writing.

SDQC 9

Supplier performance (quality, delivery, responsiveness) is monitored and reviewed periodically. Performance may impact future decisions and approval status.

SDQC 10

Spectrum Displays, its customers, and regulatory authorities retain the right of access to the supplier’s facilities, processes, and records related to the PO.

SDQC 11

Supplier shall facilitate source inspection or verification at the supplier’s premises as required.

SDQC 12

Supplier shall flow down applicable requirements – including key characteristics, special process controls, and customer/regulatory requirements to sub-tier suppliers.

SDQC 13

Suppliers with design authority shall control design per ISO9001:2015 clause 8.3.

SDQC 14

Design changes require written approval from Spectrum Displays.

SDQC 15

For new parts, significant changes, or as required by PO, Supplier shall perform First Article Inspection per AS9102 and submit the report with the first shipment.

SDQC 16

Supplier shall implement a counterfeit part prevention (CPP) program to ensure that only authentic and traceable parts are supplied.

SDQC 17

Supplier shall notify Spectrum Displays of any changes in: manufacturing location, processes, materials, or sub-tier suppliers. Written approval must be obtained before implementation.

SDQC 18

Supplier shall retain all quality records for 10 years minimum unless otherwise specified. Records must provide full traceability to materials, processes, and inspections.

SDQC 19

Supplier must notify Spectrum Displays immediately upon detection of nonconforming products shipped or in process. Written approval is required for disposition of Use-as-is (UAI).

SDQC 20

Supplier shall ensure employees are aware of: their contribution to product/service conformity, their role in safety and reliability, the importance of ethical behavior.

SDQC 21

By accepting this PO, the supplier agrees to comply with these requirements. Failure to comply may result in removal from the Approved Supplier List.
