Meeting and Reviews
Weekly program reviews will be held during the design phase, after this period, a frequency will be mutually agreed upon. Design reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) will be held for verifying design and development compliance with technical requirements of the specification and other program items such as:
- Updated milestone schedule
- Accomplishments
- Problems encountered
- Problem workaround(s) and Alternatives considered
- Potential risk areas
- Risk abatement plans and status
- A Production Readiness Review will be held before production of procured items may begin.
Preliminary design review (PDR)
Spectrum Displays shall hold a PDR to review design assumptions, risks, approaches, and materials. It will also include a review of the program schedule.
Critical design review (CDR)
Spectrum Displays shall hold a CDR at our facility when the detail design is essentially complete, and prior to the start of fabrication of the first pre-production units. This meeting will be used to establish the product configuration baseline. Spectrum Displays shall prepare a proposed CDR agenda and submit it to the Customer for approval and distribution internally. Post CDR, Spectrum Displays shall prepare and submit a copy of all materials presented in the CDR.
The CDR shall cover the program design aspects up to the start of the CDR and include, as a minimum, a presentation on all design approaches to satisfy the end requirements
Design approach and interface
A top-level description of the selected components and our design approach, including interface requirements, associated equipment, and where required details to interface to the next higher-level assembly will be included.
Design Explanation
A discussion of the design concept to include:
- Drawings and schematics detailing the design
- Power consumption estimates
- Thermal dissipation estimates and stress analysis
- Vibration/shock stress analysis
Technical interchanges meetings (TIM)
TIMs will be held weekly throughout the duration of the development program. The purpose of the TIMs will be to review the design, development, and systems integration status, and to identify and resolve problem areas. TIMs may be conducted via conference call, video conference, or e-conference.
